Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Grammy and Golden Globe Award nominee and National Book Award-winning artist Patti Smith will join the eclectic lineup for the 31st Annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert on March 3rd at The Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall in New York City at 7:30pm ET.
This year’s show will take on a special significance as cultural conversations continue about equality and human rights – issues that the Tibet House US Benefit Concert has brought attention to throughout its 30-year history. The all-female group choir Resistance Revival Chorus, born out of the Women’s March on Washington, will be on hand to deliver a message of female empowerment. The night will also feature esteemed composer and artistic director Philip Glass, Carly Simon, Blood Orange (Dev Hynes), St. Paul and the Broken Bones Rhiannon Giddens, singer-songwriter Angel Olsen, Stephin Merritt Techung and Los Vega. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Uma Thurman and Arden Wohl are Honorary Chairpersons.
