By AARON GAGERS

Los Angeles based guitarist Bhargav Choudhury aka BARGAV has released his debut EP “New Beginnings,” and it’s a jazz-blues aficionado’s delight.

The songs on the new EP are both aggressive and beautiful, showcasing the skill of this young musician, a perfect blend of muscle, melod, speed and style. Choudhury is a versatile player, accomplished in a wide array of musical genres.

Last year Choudhury was hand-picked by judge and guitar virtuoso Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big and Racer X)  as one of three winners out of thousands in the Ibanez Flying Fingers Contest USA.

He’s also been awarded three scholarships via the world-renowned Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, including the Al Bruno Country Scholarship, International Student Scholarship and Musicianship Scholarship.

He is a graduate of MI with an Associates of the Arts degree in Guitar Performance. He also earned certification from Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Also, lending their talents to “New Beginnings” are Jungshi Aier on bass and vocals and Ryo Nakamura on drums. The work is mixed and mastered by Ricky Bonanza.
