She is the self-proclaimed “Queen of the High Desert” but her new record Dessert Rock has put Jesika von Rabbit on the map.
Jesika is a force to be reckoned with as she is a multi-talented performer and musician. She’s the beauty from Gram Rabbit and Dessert Rock is her second solo effort. It’s a good one.
She’s artistic and colorful and the music communicates the thoughts and feelings we all have today. The songs on the album range from the political to the sublime and there is a quirky but serious delivery here.
“Amidst the heavy machismo and heavy rock guitar riffs of popular Desert Rock bands, I’m taking a slightly sweeter approach,” Jesika says. “We empower the listeners and pull them down the rabbit hole and back up again.”
And if you happen to be near her region of the world, Southern California, she performs live at a record release party at the Hi-Hat in Highland Park Los Angeles on Oct. 8 and she will play a Halloween show at Pappy and Harriet’s on Oct. 27.
